26/06/2008, Kingdom of Bahrain: Diyar Al Muharraq is a $3.2 billion property development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The combined business and residential project will see a new city constructed on reclaimed land with 11 individual islands offering 40,000 homes and 27,000 apartments focused squarely on affordable new housing for the people of Bahrain.
KHP was tasked with creating a VIP experience of the development for 400 guests on the first of the 11 islands to have been reclaimed from the waters of the Arabian Gulf.
Despite the 50-degree temperatures that are a feature of the Gulf region in late June, KHP successfully created a comfortable and vibrant environment in which to host both a media launch and VIP presentation.
The media event saw a notable first for the region when KHP brought the ‘dinner in the sky’ concept to the Gulf. Using a high-tech cradle featuring individual swivelling chairs, the Diyar Al Muharraq ‘Media in the Sky’ event saw parties of journalists and photographers raised 50 metres over the site to take in stunning 360 degree vistas, with Diyar representatives illustrating the key locations of buildings, waterways, beaches and other features to be constructed.

For the evening VIP function KHP brought another regional ‘first’ to the Gulf in the form of a 360-degree projection venue in order to reveal the full scope of the Diyar Al Muharraq development. The quadruple set of domes saw 360-degree projections of the Diyar Al Muharraq development envelope the 427 VIP guests as they gathered around a scale model of the completed development, where the first residents are expected in 2010.
