18/01/08, London: KHP Consulting is excited to see the coming together of the McGregor Fashion Group BV and the AT&T Williams team after introducing the two parties.

KHP assisted in the negotiations of the three year deal with Amsterdam based McGregor Fashion Group BV last year. McGregor have previously been involved in Formula One through another outlet and were keen to widen their sports sponsorship portfolio and increase their commitment to the sport.

The deal sees McGregor, one of the most successful and longstanding fashion houses in the industry, as the exclusive clothing partner to the British team, ensuring AT&T Williams not only look good when racing but also feel comfortable. Team drivers Nico Rosberg, Kazuki Nakawjima and German test driver Nico Huelkenberg will sport the McGregor logo on their race helmets and there will be additional branding on the FW30 racecar and the team’s race kit and factory work wear.

KHP’s London based Commercial Manager Chris Welch introduced the two parties and saw the negotiations through to a finish towards the back end of last year after a lengthily strategic research process and discussions with several teams. Williams proved the natural choice for McGregor with their broad appeal, business to business opportunities and impressive reputation within the sport.

Commenting on the announcement Katja Heim said: “We have a long history within the sport and understand the different USP’s and working practices of many of the teams involved, with that in mind Williams seemed the natural choice to partner McGregor in their endeavors to increase brand awareness and showcase the brand’s quality as one of the worlds best, very similar to that of the AT&T Williams team."

“As anyone working within the sponsorship industry can appreciate it’s always a happy time for us when it comes to introducing parties to teams and assisting in the conclusion of a deal such as this one. With a number of other deals to be announced over the coming weeks, it starts 2008 off on exactly the right note.”

KHP will continue to work with McGregor in a consultancy capacity to assist and facilitate their continued integration into the sport.
