Katja Heim - CEO

My F1 journey began back in 1985 when, as a freelance journalist, I was commissioned by a major men’s magazine to interview Bernie Ecclestone. The interview and subsequent coverage led to further work, initially supporting the PR, communications and ticket sales for the German Grand Prix.
I was very successful very quickly, thanks to a lot of hard work, good gut instincts and a great support network. When I look back, I was such a determined force of nature, I was very difficult to say no to, and I think that helped!
I started out small, and have built my team up slowly over the years as my client base has grown. The key for me has been to find talented, dedicated and loyal people who share my passion and work ethic. I started out by focussing on more PR and communications related work, as that’s my background, before spotting opportunities to branch out into events, strategic marketing and sponsorship.
KHP definitely isn’t the place for one trick ponies or divas, you have to be multi-talented to survive and more than willing to roll your sleeves up and muck in. We have very demanding clients, and quite rightly so, as they have become accustomed to receiving the best possible service.
I think we’ve been very privileged over the years to enjoy fantastic relationships with key powerbrokers in sport, and as such, we have a great reputation for being an agency that can deliver a full 360° service.
We have an intimate understanding of the complex rules of working in a sport like F1, which means we can offer our clients a very competitive edge, and ultimately help them to maximise their return on investment.”
